Menu system
In July 2006 I found my ideal menu system on the United States Postal Service's International Mail Manual website, so
I copied a page from the website for later examination. Fortunately the Javascript code which runs the menu had been
written by Ger Versluis for DynamicDrive.com and placed in the public domain, along with comprehensive documentation.
Text styles
I liked the unfussy text styles then used in the Mail Manual, so I've used the same approach here.
Appearance
Although this website is primarily a vehicle for text, I didn't want it to look like a government manual, and I hope it doesn't.
